Hi NuSocia Patrons,
It is estimated that nearly 10 million girls in India will be forced to drop out of school and will be pushed into child marriage, trafficking and early poverty because of COVID -19. Ten years ago, the United Nations institutionalised the 11th of October as International Day of the Girl Child. Since then, governments, nonprofits, policymakers and the general public have been looking for innovative ways for enabling girls to have their voices heard on a global scale. Yet, the challenges faced by the girl child are myriad.
We at NuSocia undertook an Impact Assessment Study on the Lila Poonawalla Foundation’s program for girls ‘2morrow 2gether’. The program aims to provide holistic growth and an educational career path progression for 2314 girls from rural India. Read more about our findings by clicking on the link below.
