It’s that time of the year where everyone is planning out their goals for 2022. We’re excited to tackle new projects and challenges in the new year. In the meantime, we have predicted below the Top 10 trends in the impact space in 2022.
Migration to strategic CSR is an unstoppable trend. With more companies bringing CSR into boardroom discussions, strategic CSR is here to stay and flourish.
Sustainability in business processes will become more and more popular. Companies are looking to adopt green supply chain, investing in green tech and setting up green buildings.
Local is the new Global. Even large MNCs will give priority to local issues over aligning with global causes.
Collaboration in the CSR ecosystem is expected to develop. More corporates and nonprofits will join hands to deliver sustainable impact on ground.
Nonprofits will embrace advanced data analytics and AI for fundraising and strategic planning.
Companies will become more vocal and transparent about their CSR work. CSR communication will go beyond traditional media with trends like vlogging and video stories becoming popular.
With climate change awareness increasing, promoting sustainable behavior at corporate and individual level will become popular. More companies will open up to the idea of measuring carbon footprint and offsetting it.
Paid leave for volunteering will enhance employee engagement at companies.
Companies and institutional donor agencies will make healthcare a bigger intervention area under their CSR portfolio. Promoting innovative social enterprises in healthcare will also see increasing traction.
Future of CSR events will be hybrid. With the extended pandemic, CSR seminars of different sizes are expected to continue online.

This 2021 publication debunks some of the popular interpretations of societal data about India and is an original take on data conversation.

Its an easy read throwing spotlight on the positive, the good, the kind around us and thus raising hope about the goodness of humanity. For anyone needing some motivation and inspiration, especially ones working in social entrepreneurship space, this would be a good keeps
3. The Ikigai Journey - This book comes as a sequel to the global bestseller Ikigai and is written by Hector Garcia and Francesc Mirallies. The book anyways had big shoes to fill after the previous success and it does seem to fulfill the expectations. It takes us to identify our passion and purpose with practical tools and tips. A great pick for the perfect start to a new year for anyone and everyone.
4. Poor Economics - This engrossing read from Economics Nobel winner Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo is already making waves in the development circles. Its subtitle explains the content as a radical rethink of the way to fight global poverty. Economist has called this one Freakonomics for the poor.
5. A good time to be a girl - By Helena Morrissey has been defined as a menifesto for a more humane and inclusive capitalism. The book is for everyone, not just women and makes a pwoerful case for diversity at workplace.

Data is everywhere. Nonprofits have a lot of data to manage across fundraising, marketing, programs, finance et al. Most nonprofits understand the importance of collecting data, but few are able to leverage it to make proactive decisions.
